A Note of Thanks...

The best part about receiving gifts is I get to make "Thank You" cards!

Wooden Calendar Blocks

I finally got these Wooden Calendar Blocks done!  I have only had them for 2 years.

I purchased them from Craft Warehouse.  First you will need to paint or stain them.  Pick out cardstock paper to fit your needs, cut to fit the block and then apply with glue.  The first cube should have the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The second cube should have 0, 1, 2, 6, 7 and 8. The "6" is then turned upside-down to create the number "9" when needed.  I used the Quickutz 4x8 Alphabet Set AQUARIUS for my numbers.  The months I ran through my computer using a font, BRADY BUNCH but any font to your liking will do.

Finally feels good to get some of these projects done just in time for the holidays.

School Days, School Days...

My sister is 16 years behind on her scrapbooking so I thought the perfect gift for her might be this 12x12 School Days Album for her son.  All she needs to do is drop in a photo and add some comments.  How much easier could it be than that!

My Scrapbooking has come a long way...

As you can see with my girls the ages of 14 & 12,
the many 12x12 albums they already have.

I have a tendency to take way to many pictures and find myself wanting to scrapbook them all.  Therefore I have kept them simple compared to our family album.  I have tried to keep the look of them consistent mainly because there is a significant difference in the book between then and now.  My scrapbooking has come a long way since I first started 15 years ago.
Here are a couple examples of how I have progressed over the years.

Then

Now (Family Album)

Over the next couple months I will share some of my girls pages just to give you ideas and show you simple pages still get the job done.
